Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth reviews of transactional activity, internal KYC records, and open source research in accordance with regulatory reporting requirements to identify and expand upon existing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and fraud typologiesMonitor daily, weekly, and monthly reports to help identify suspicious activity and refer alerts to the Financial Intelligence UnitLeverage expertise to assist in the identification of unusual financial activity indicating potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraudSupport the Company’s suspicious activity detection, transaction monitoring, and reporting programs and drive enhancements to the program, including updates to related controls and accompanying policies and proceduresAssist with the Company’s adverse media and PEP watchlist screeningPartner with Engineering teams to develop new and enhance existing transaction monitoring processesProvide assistance as needed to the Financial Intelligence Unit’s investigative and regulatory reporting processesExpertise
Deep, wide, and practical understanding of money laundering typologies and related red flagsAdept at developing, refining, and reviewing transaction monitoring parameters designed to surface suspicious activityExcellent analytical and organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong working knowledge of BSA/AML, FINRA, MSRB, and SEC regulationsExperience leading cross-functional projects, including collaboration with engineering teamsStrong verbal and written communication skillsIntellectually curious, and interested in applying technology to enhance business processesBroad analytical skills, with experience identifying and quantifying problems while providing creative, effective solutionsRequired
BA/BS degree1 - 2 years direct or relevant experience related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or Fraud transaction monitoring alertsWillingness to obtain applicable registrations and/or licenses as necessaryPreferred
CAMS or CFE certification Experience with SQLProduct experience with ACH/wires, debit cardsExperience with or general understanding of broader financial services including investment advisory and bankingEstimated annual salary range: $$85,065-$102,000 USD plus equity and a discretionary bonus.
