Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform remote and on-site tech support of hardware, software and network issues for various clientsDesign and implement network and server solutions to fulfill clients' business requirementsProactively monitor ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of client tech support issuesKeep customers informed of incident progress, notify them of upcoming changes or outagesFollow change management procedure for all changes to client environments while striving to maintain industry Best Practices within all client sitesDiscuss solutions/incidents/requests with a diverse group of technical personnel, managers, and executivesAccess industry resources including product documentation, knowledge base articles, FAQs, and online resources to aid in incident resolutionsAssist technical support team members with any issues needing help or escalationStrive to understand and improve IT infrastructure and help build standards to improve client reliability and maintainabilityWork with assigned project leads and project managers, working assigned tasks and within defined project scope and milestones to ensure the successful deployment of projects for our clientsAssist the project management team with creating IT proposals and plansProfessionally document all work performed and submit accurate timesheetsLeverage front-line client experience to identify sales opportunitiesWork with sales to create proposals for clients for new equipment or servicesPerform additional duties as directed by management in relation to your area of expertiseTechnical Skills:
Experience managing, configuring and deploying the following:Microsoft Windows Server 2016+Microsoft SQL Server 2016+Microsoft Hyper-V 2008+Microsoft 365 Identity and Access Management, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Intune Microsoft AzureVMware vSphere 7.0+Cisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper switches, routers, and firewallsNetwork monitoring systems (SNMP, syslog, NetFlow)Backup software including Veeam and DattoRAID including various RAID controllers and general RAID knowledgeSAN and NAS devices including iSCSI and NFS configurationVoIP including: FreePBX, Asterisk, Cisco UC, Microsoft Teams, etc.
Preferred Skills:
Our ideal candidate may have experience with:Microsoft 365 Purview, Dynamics, Power Automate, and FabricRouting, VLAN, and VPN technologiesAutomation and scripting, preferably in PowerShellLinux server administrationQualifications:
University or college degree in IT or related field is preferred10+ years experience working in IT Industry2+ years minimum experience working at a managed IT services provider (MSP) in a System Administrator capacityObtained industry certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Palo Alto, Veeam Be proactive in nature, identifying problems in advance and looking for continuous service improvement opportunitiesAbility to multi-task with multiple clients under tight deadlinesAbility to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues is requiredAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentPossess and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skillsPossess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills is a must as this is a customer- facing roleProven technical, analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly self-motivated and directed with a passion for technology and IT
