You will play a key role in maintaining and modernizing legacy systems, ensuring the continued performance and reliability of our software solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimise web applications using Symfony (3 and up).
Maintain and refactor legacy software to ensure continued performance and reliability.
Manage code repositories using Bitbucket and adhere to best practices in version control.
Develop and deploy containerised applications on Kubernetes, we deploy to AWS EKS.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate React and Angular applications with back-end systems.
Create and manage APIs for seamless integration with third-party services
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Skills & Experience:
PHP Expertise: Advanced proficiency in PHP, with a focus on Symfony 3 and later versions.
Version Control: experience with Bitbucket and Git workflows.
Containerisation & Orchestration: knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
Front-End Integration: Experience/understanding of React and Angular frameworks.
Legacy Software Management: Proven ability to modernise to understand and improve and maintain legacy systems.
Database Management: Proficiency in MySQL.
Testing & Debugging: Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like PHPUnit.
API Development: Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience in the finance or car broking industries
