Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and people-oriented Senior People Business Partner who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the VP of People (Meghna), this role will involve co-owning key programs and initiatives with our People & Culture Manager (Camille) — both based in the Netherlands. You will be joining a tightly knit and growing team of 8 specialists, working across the Office & Community, People Ops, Talent and Recruiting sub-functions, all united by a shared commitment to shaping Axelera AI as an exceptional place to work.

In this role, you’ll work closely with highly skilled deep-tech professionals, including R&D, software, and hardware experts across varied seniorities, locations, and cultures, helping them thrive in a fast-moving and innovative environment.

At Axelera AI, we are not just about groundbreaking technology; we are a values-driven, people-first organization. Expect a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and curiosity, where everyone's ideas are valued, and where we actively invest in the personal and professional growth of our people.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to our colleagues and teams, fostering a culture of high performance and engagement.

  • Proactively identify and address employee concerns, creating a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, team dynamics, and organizational development to help build a thriving workplace.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement people initiatives that enhance productivity, satisfaction, and retention.

  • Lead change management processes and support leaders in navigating organizational changes with clarity and confidence.

  • Analyze people data and metrics to inform decision-making and measure the impact of people initiatives.

  • Act as a role model for company values and culture, ensuring alignment across all people practices.

  • Lead key HR projects and initiatives to support our scaling efforts across Europe.

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and employment regulations, providing valuable insights into HR best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a senior people business partner or HR leadership role, ideally within a fast-paced scaleup environment.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels.

  • Strong coaching and counseling capabilities to guide teams and managers toward solutions that drive business success.

  • High energy, proactive mindset, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done.

  • Strong balance of task and people orientation, ensuring both business outcomes and employee engagement.

  • Knowledge of European labor law is a significant advantage.

  • Ability to work independently and navigate complex challenges with resilience and adaptability.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.

  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus but not a hard requirement.

  • Willingness to travel regularly to Eindhoven (2-3 days a week) and across Europe (30% minimum).

If you are a people-driven professional with a passion for fostering high-performance cultures and creating great places to work, we’d love to hear from you!
