About the Role:
As the Sr. Manager of Quality Training & Education, you will play a critical role in driving the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs designed to ensure excellence in pharmacy and compounding operations. This is a strategic leadership position focused on fostering a culture of compliance, quality, and continuous learning across all levels of the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pharmacists, technicians, and quality assurance personnel, to create effective training materials and educational initiatives that align with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

You Will:
Lead the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training quality systems programs tailored to pharmacy and compounding operations, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USP, State Board of Pharmacy) and company standards. It also includes developing quality training for the company as part of the Onboarding process.
Develops needs assessments with cross-functional teams to identify training gaps, and collaborate with leadership to address skill development opportunities across various departments.
Develop and maintain training curricula, including SOPs, e-learning modules, workshops, and hands-on training for pharmacists, technicians, and other key stakeholders.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and implement improvements as needed. Works with the compounding facilities to develop their training programs
Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing support to employees and management on quality and regulatory compliance matters.
Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to pharmacy compounding, ensuring that training programs reflect the latest knowledge and guidance.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure training is aligned with the organization’s quality management system.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of training initiatives and ensure continuous improvements in both content and delivery methods.
Lead or support internal audits, inspections, and readiness assessments related to quality training.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field (PharmD, MS, or equivalent preferred).
5+ years of experience in the pharmacy or compounding industry, with a proven track record of developing and implementing training programs focused on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or operational excellence.
In-depth knowledge of USP Chapters (e.g., USP <795>, USP <797>, USP <800>), FDA regulations, and state and federal compounding standards.
Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality control/assurance processes.
Experience with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and the creation of digital and interactive training materials.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences at all levels of the organization.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
A passion for continuous improvement and creating a culture of compliance and excellence.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Experience working in a pharmacy compounding environment (sterile and non-sterile compounding).
Proven experience in the design and delivery of e-learning courses using tools like Articulate, Captivate, or similar platforms.
Experience with auditing and inspection readiness within regulated environments.
Knowledge of change management and its role in training and education.
Ability to manage and mentor a team of training professionals.
