This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of talent acquisition and organizational growth. Beyond driving a high-volume recruiting engine, the VP will work cross-functionally to design smarter recruiting processes, shape workforce models, and strengthen Brightline’s talent brand.

We are looking for a builder; someone who thrives in early-stage, high-growth environments and can flex between strategy and execution. The ideal candidate brings structure to ambiguity, is energized by the opportunity to directly influence hiring quality and workforce readiness, and has a track record of building scalable recruiting organizations that align with both care delivery and corporate growth.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Architect and execute a multi-year recruiting strategy that supports Brightline’s growth objectives, clinic openings, and evolving care delivery and business models.

  • Partner with the executive leadership team to forecast workforce needs, establish hiring priorities, and ensure sustainable recruiting capacity across functions.

  • Balance high-volume clinical hiring with strategies for specialized, technical, and executive-level searches.

Scalable Recruiting Strategy

  • Build recruiting infrastructure, technology, and data-driven processes to track funnel metrics, talent availability, and market responsiveness.

  • Anticipate hiring challenges and develop proactive strategies for sourcing, conversion, and retention.

  • Align recruiting strategy with Brightline’s broader business and operational goals, ensuring seamless integration with Care Operations and corporate functions.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Operational Excellence

  • Work closely with business leaders across clinical, technical, and corporate functions to forecast talent needs and design scalable hiring solutions.

  • Partner with People, Finance, and Operations to integrate workforce planning and budget alignment into the recruiting strategy.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to build Brightline’s talent brand strategy.

  • Establish cross-functional processes and accountability frameworks that reduce friction, accelerate decision-making, and improve the candidate experience.

Team Building & Leadership

  • Build, coach, and lead a high-performing recruiting team capable of scaling across clinical and corporate roles.

  • Establish a culture of accountability and continuous learning, grounded in data-driven decision making.

  • Provide clear vision, direction, and performance expectations to ensure the team delivers against hiring goals while maintaining a high-quality candidate experience.

Executive Partnership & Data-Driven Insights

  • Serve as a peer and strategic advisor to senior leadership, influencing decisions related to hiring, compensation, onboarding, and workforce models.

  • Provide actionable insights through recruiting performance dashboards, funnel analytics, and market trends.

  • Translate data into workforce strategies that support Brightline’s mission and long-term growth.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in talent acquisition or recruiting, including at least 3–5 years leading recruiting teams at scale.

  • Proven track record building and leading high-performing recruiting organizations across clinical, technical, and corporate functions.

  • Experience driving high-volume hiring (clinicians or comparable workforce populations) while also managing strategies for specialized and executive-level searches.

  • Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally with People, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Clinical leadership to align recruiting with organizational priorities.

  • Deep expertise in role design, workforce planning, and scaling recruiting for multi-site and multi-state organizations.

  • Strong operational and data-driven mindset, with mastery of recruiting analytics, funnel optimization, and KPI management.

  • Familiarity with state-specific employment laws and compliance requirements (NY and CA strongly preferred).

  • Exceptional communication, influence, and leadership skills, with a track record of building trust and alignment at the executive level.

  • Proficiency with modern recruiting technology platforms and a demonstrated commitment to process and candidate experience innovation.

  • Experience developing and owning a talent brand strategy that resonates across diverse functions and talent markets.
