Funny name, serious business
We make eco-friendly products and donate 50% of our profits to provide clean water and help build toilets for the billions of people who lack proper access. So far, we’ve contributed over $18 million AUD (roughly $12.5 million USD) to fund sanitation projects around the globe. Basically, we’re really good at doing good.
With hubs in Australia, the Philippines, China, the US, UK and Europe, our amazing team of 200+ work to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next couple of years, we’re hoping to increase our annual donation tenfold to get us closer to our dream of everyone in the world having access to clean water and sanitation services.
A bit about the role
At Who Gives A Crap, we believe doing good should be fun, impactful, and a little bit bold. Our Melbourne-based video team is at the heart of bringing our creative vision to life in our marketing channels, producing stories that make people stop, take notice, and connect with our products and brand. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Video Production Coordinator to help manage the end-to-end production process and keep things running smoothly.
Reporting to the Senior Video Producer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the efficient execution of our production process. From concept to completion, you’ll oversee every stage of production, supporting our team in both administrative and on-the-ground tasks. You’ll coordinate shoots, manage logistics, schedules, and on-site requirements, and contribute to pre and post-production activities. This role is crucial in keeping projects on track, ensuring timely delivery of assets, and maintaining smooth collaboration across teams.
If you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in
- Coordinated Video Productions: Oversaw logistics, schedules, and on-site requirements for social media/paid ads/Meta video shoots, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Supported Pre and Post-Production: Assisted in managing timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring assets are delivered on time.
- Collaborated Across Teams: Worked closely with the Senior Video Producer and other team members, so there is seamless collaboration and communication.
- Managed Freelance Talent: Helped source and coordinate freelance talent, ensuring smooth workflow on set.
- Tracked Production Costs: Assisted with budget tracking and reporting to ensure the production stays within budget.
- Utilised Project Management Tools: Streamlined processes and boosted team efficiency using project management software.
- Assisted On Set: Contributed to production tasks during shoots and actively supported wherever needed.
Let’s talk about you
- You’re able to hit the ground running - you’ve got some video production experience under your belt and you are ready to learn and take on more responsibilities and new challenges
- You’re highly organised with an eye for detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, flexible environment and are comfortable working across time zones, especially with US-based team members in the creative and marketing teams.
- You’re eager to learn and contribute to improving production workflows.
- You’re passionate about storytelling and excited to be part of a fun, bold brand that’s making an impact.
- You have a valid driver’s license and are based in Melbourne, as you will be required to be on location for shoots.
You give a crap
Do you want your work to make the world a better place? Do you want to work with other people who feel the same way? What a coincidence — us too!
Why should you work with us?
First off, as a certified B Corp™, we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the highest standards of social and environmental impact. With our most recent score of 125.5 we’re in very good company with other exceptional B Corps around the world.
We also believe that helping to make the world a better place should be rewarded accordingly – that’s why we offer competitive, market informed salaries, meaningful support towards healthcare for our team around the world, generous paid leave, tailored learning and development opportunities, and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).
Our engagement surveys (thanks Culture Amp!) tell us that our team is really proud (95%) to work for Who Gives A Crap and, well, we couldn’t be more proud of that.
Have you made it this far?
If you’re still reading, we think there’s a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here’s the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don’t check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all.
